While the city continues waiting for the latest gastronomic growth which other New Zealand towns already have seen, personnel going to Christchurch for the rebuild are going to be happy about the hospitality possibilities. Expect to have typical European plus New Zealand cuisine, crafted from high quality produce, with a range of eateries promising a large wine beverage selection. Christchurch preferences also are generally evolving, as increasing numbers of families arrive from overseas to support with the rebuild of the city. For that reason the foreign food cart movement is proving to be popular as are restaurants specialising in Asian, North African and Middle Eastern cuisine which includes Burmese, Indian, Moroccan and Afghan.
